“World on Fire” extends Litscher’s ongoing exploration of cyclical transformation, echoing the emotional and symbolic undercurrents present in works like “Rebirth.” Both pieces open portals into worlds where animals embody shifting states of consciousness — fragile, volatile, and luminous. Here, dense layers of acrylic ink and mixed media generate a charged, dreamlike ecosystem. Precise linework and fluid gestures collide, creating a tension between control and eruption. Light and color operate almost as characters themselves, carving out atmospheres that feel both mythical and strangely familiar. The palette’s heat intensifies the emotional temperature of the scene, reinforcing themes of destruction, renewal, and the quiet possibility of beginning again.
